Hand painted "Dream" on Santorini Stone

$30.00

Hand painted “Dream” design on a Santorini Stone. To create this one I used Sakura Gelly Roll gel pens, then I finished up with a fine line gel pen to outline. I spray 4-5 coats of Matte sealer. Each stone is signed on the reverse side. This item comes with a small, black wooden easel.

Santorini Stone is a type of high-quality white marble, often tumbled smooth for landscaping and known for its sparkle, and a brand of smooth, flat white rocks popular for rock painting and crafts due to their ideal surface for art.

The stones are water resistant, and can be cleaned or dusted with a soft cloth. My stones are meant to be kept indoors, out of the rain and direct sun.

I started making Ukrainian Pysanky again. I used to make these eggs about 30 years ago using hen and goose eggs (right). Currently I’m experimenting with decorating wooden ones.
